Be A Consignor How It Works If you’ve got great clothing, shoes or accessories in your closet that you’re not wearing right now, put them to work for you by consigning with Red Umbrella. We make consigning easy and want to help you get the most for your all of your items. We accept women’s clothing, footwear, handbags, jewelry and accessories. We specialize in current fashions (bought within the last 2 years) in popular, better boutique and designer labels. The cleanliness and appearance of your items is very important. Please take the time to presort your items to ensure that they are in excellent condition. They must be clean, odor-free, pressed and on hangers or folded neatly in boxes or bags. Please, no garbage bags. (Items offered with stains, snags, tears, missing buttons, or in need of cleaning will not be accepted.) We accept clothing seasonally. Our schedule is as follows: January - April Spring Clothing May – July Summer Clothing July - September Fall Clothing September - January Winter Clothing Some of our most popular labels: Ann Taylor, Anne Klein, INC, Betsey Johnson, Free People, Bebe, Sigrid Olsen, Chico’s, J. Jill, Tahari, Talbot’s, Gap, Banana Republic, J.Crew, Abercrombie & Fitch, Lucky Brand, DKNY, Seven (to name several), Kate Spade, Coach, Dooney & Bourke, as well new boutique clothing from local stores’ past seasons - at a fraction of the original price! We also consign vintage, shabby chic and unique contemporary furniture & decor, art and some handcrafted items. Please e-mail digital photos of your furniture to allow us to assess your pieces before loading them in to your vehicle. redumbrella1@sbcglobal.net Consignment Percentage You will receive 40% of the final selling price on all consigned items except for furniture. Consignors receive 50% of the selling price for furniture. Payment may be redeemed in cash or store credit. You may check your account by phone or pick up your money in the store during regular business hours. We are happy to mail a check on request for amounts over $20. If you would like us to mail a check, simply call us at 707-778-3499. Consignment Times We accept consignments daily during store hours. No appointment is necessary. We are also happy to provide a convenient “Drop & Run” service for registered consignors after their first consignment. If you’re on your lunch hour or have an engagement, simply drop off your items during business hours and run! We will then choose items to consign and return the rest. We request that you return within 1 day to pick up any “no thank-you’s”. We don't have the room to store them so we will donate them to charity if they are not retrieved. Pricing your items We base our prices on supply and demand, condition, label, and original retail price. All prices will be set by Red Umbrella employees. Your items will remain on the floor for 60 days, with reductions in price taken at our discretion. After 30 days reductions may be applied to any unsold merchandise. After 60 days, unsold items will be donated to local charity or disposed of at the discretion of Red Umbrella Consignment.
